CNBC's Porn Special Beats Out Mainstream News

NATIONWIDE — CNBC’s re-run of “Porn: Business of Pleasure,” the network's hour long special report on the adult industry, continues to grab the attention of younger viewers.

According to, the special was the most watched hour in the 25-54 age demographic out of CNBC’s entire programming lineup last Friday which was the same day Goldman Sachs got sued by the federal government.

“Porn: Business of Pleasure” premiered last July at 10 p.m. and drew 178,000 viewers in the 25-54 age range. Part of the report features reporter Melissa Lee interviewing Jesse Jane.

According to Nielsen, in terms of total viewers, the report averaged 240,000 viewers, making it third most watched program for CNBC.
