Video: India Unveils $35 Tablet
First announced in July, the computer was a result of a project backed by the Indian government.
The tablet will have a memory card instead of a hard drive and 2GB or RAM, making it available for basic computer functions like browsing, media playback and word processing, according to PCMag.
Some pricier models may even include a solar-power option for area of the country where electricity is scarce.
The video demonstration of the tablet prototype shows the computer will run on the Android OS instead of the Linux setup.
The tablet also seems to be using a touch-stylus-interface for typing.
