Pink Visual President Allison Vivas to Deliver 2011 XBIZ LA Keynote

LOS ANGELES — XBIZ is pleased to announce that leading digital trade event XBIZ LA, being held Feb. 7-9 at the Sofitel Hotel, will feature a special keynote presentation by industry luminary, Pink Visual President Allison Vivas scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 8 at 3 p.m.

“It’s an honor to be chosen to deliver the keynote at XBIZ LA, especially at a time when there are so many important issues facing the industry,” Vivas said. “It’s important that I respect the time of those who come to listen, and ensure that they walk away with reliable information and new ideas that are useful and relevant to them. At the moment, my plan is to draw a parallel between the growth and maturation of the adult industry and my personal evolution as a member of that industry. I look forward to having a few laughs at my own expense along the way, in the context of a serious evaluation of the trends, challenges and opportunities presented by the current market.”

Most recently, Vivas was recognized by global forum BigThink.com, as part of the site’s Women and Power blog section where 10 top women in male-dominated fields were profiled.

As Pink Visual’s president and public face, Vivas has established the company as one of the most respected and progressive companies in adult entertainment. Pink Visual is an acknowledged industry leader, taking a vital role in a number of issues, including efforts to combat content piracy, protect performers and spearhead technological development.

In October, Pink Visual held an exclusive two-day Content Protection Retreat dedicated to combatting piracy that set the foundation for a second edition of the event being held with the help of XBIZ and the Free Speech Coalition, scheduled to take place Feb. 6-7, in conjunction with XBIZ LA.

The event will include much of the previous agenda, high quality intellectual property experts and opportunities for studios to help mold the FSC Anti-Piracy Action Program (www.fscapap.com), but the plans for CPR2 also include “stepping it up a notch,” Vivas said.

The event will be open to 50 studios and will also include a virtual component where up to 20 studios can participate via videoconference. A registration fee will be required for all attendees in order to cover costs, as this is a non-sponsored event. As with the first CPR, all attendees will be screened to ensure there are no conflicts of interest and no media coverage of the event.
