CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Private Media Group has apparently settled its copyright infringement suit against the operators of

Terms of the apparent settlement weren't revealed by post time.

Slutload, one of the largest adult tube sites with an Alexa traffic rank of 416, was alleged to have stolen Private's content.

But earlier this month, Private, through its Fraserside Holdings division, asked the court to dismiss the suit, which was signed off by a federal judge.

The suit targeted Slutload's owner, Ryan Milnes of Canada, who also was hit with an infringement claim in December by Pink Visual.

Private, in its suit filed at U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was seeking an injunctive order, money damages, transfer of the domain name and other similar domain names and attorneys fees.

According to Private's original compaint, Slutload is a “one-stop shop for infringing material” that has 5 million U.S.-based surfers each month that generate “million of dollars in annual revenue” from advertisements others place on the site.

Private, in the suit, said that Slutload has a "significant commercial and financial advantage" without purchasing licensing from copyright holders.

"Most, if not all, of the content indexed on or available on the website is infringing, unauthorized copyrighted content, including [Private's] copyrighted works," Private's suit said. " website is designed for the sole purpose of taking commercial advantage of copyrighted works without any authority whatsoever and derive benefit from the copyrighted works."

Private also alleged that Slutload has altered its films on the site by removing or blurring Private watermarks and logos and replacing with its own "” mark.

Among 19 films Private claims Slutload infringed, some of the titles include “Anal Mermaids,” “Beauties in the Tropix,” “Guns and Rough Sex” and “My Wife Cheats Me with a Lesbian.”

Private spokesman Jason Tucker and Slutload's Milnes did not immediately respond to XBIZ for comment.
