Mojo Nights, Kaboom Placed on FDA Blacklist

WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration has posted an advisory warning over two more penis pill brands that have hidden drugs.

In the past two months, 12 penis pills have been placed on the FDA's blacklist as the regulatory agency ramps up probes over the legitimacy of ingredients in the sexual enhancers.

The latest brands are Kaboom Action Strips and Mojo Nights.

Mojo Nights, the FDA says, contains active ingredients in both Viagra and Cialis — sexual enhancement prescription drugs. Kaboom contained ingredients found in Viagra.

An FDA spokeswoman recently told XBIZ that the regulatory agency is adding more penis pills to the blacklist only because there has been an uptick in brands on the market.

"These undeclared ingredients may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels," the FDA says. "Men with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease often take nitrates."

Consumers sometimes get seven times the dose in some of the illegal pills, the FDA says.
