Calvista to Distribute Smash's '50 Shades' Parody in Australia

MELBOURNE, Australia — Calvista Australia announced today that it is exclusively handling all distribution for the Smash Pictures' parody "Fifty Shades of Grey: A XXX Adaptation" in Australia and New Zealand. 

"We’re stoked to release this sizzling title to the Australian and New Zealand market," Calvista CEO Michael Bassett said. “There is huge demand for this eagerly awaited adaption of the best-selling book trilogy. We’re taking significant pre-orders already."

Set to street on Sept. 20, "Fifty Shades: A XXX Adaptation" stars Allie Haze and Ryan Driller as college virgin Anastasia Steele and kinky billionaire Christian Grey, the young couple at the heart of E.L. James' record-breaking erotic book series.

The parody, which wrapped in June, is directed by Jim Powers and costars Julia Ann as Christian's one-time sex teacher, Elena (AKA: Mrs. Robinson) and Alexis Ford as Anastasia's best friend Katherine Kavanaugh. Rounding out the cast are Johnny Castle as Elliot Grey, Logan Pierce as Boy Toy and Jazlene Jade as Leila the Sub.

“This will be one of the biggest films of the year, and we’re excited to be partnering with Calvista, who have to ability to handle and move the volumes to satisfy our customers”, Smash Pictures Vice President Stuart Wall said.
