ROCHESTER, New York — today announced that its BaDoink Video Downloader is now available in Google Play and in the iTunes App Store.

The offering allows smartphone and tablet users the ability to download videos from their favorite video sharing sites. The app is equipped with a fully functional web browser and a download manager.

According to the developers, the integrated web browser makes browsing and book marking of favorite pages a private affair.

To download a video, consumers simply select their choice and tap “download.” The download then commences immediately in the background. The download manager supports multiple, simultaneous downloads, displays the progress of active downloads, and provides one-tap access to downloaded videos.

Unwanted videos can be permanently deleted.

The app places a premium on privacy, and includes an optional password protection feature.

“The password protection piece seemed most important because we wanted to hit both the phone and tablet markets,” BaDoink’s Justin DeWolf explained. “People don’t generally share their phones with friends and loved ones, but tablets are becoming more and more ‘coffee table devices.’ So the password protection feature adds peace of mind and security.”

DeWolf stressed that password protection is a native option in all app versions, across all devices.

The app also includes a “Help” section with access to the technical support team.

Two version are currently available — a free, ad-supported version, and the “Plus" version priced at $3.99.

Supported video sharing sites include,, and, among others. The app supports downloads from across all iOS and Android-powered devices.

The app’s video player supports a wide range of video file types, and like the browser, the video player offers full-screen display.

The developers said they have also devoted considerable time creating a “friendly” GUI, in both landscape and portrait mode.

“From the simplest tour to the most robust application, usability is a core value,” DeWolf continued. “If we don’t make the experience of using the BaDoink Video Downloader as enjoyable as watching the downloaded videos, we can’t expect mass acceptance. No detail is too small. We’ve had day-long debates over how the typical, at-rest thumb sits on the touch screen.”

The company said the app has been installed more than 500,000 times since its launch.

“The best is yet to come where the BaDoink Video Downloader is concerned,” marketing manager Sarah Kohl said. “We will continue to innovate BaDoink so that it has a place in both the adult industry and the mainstream app market. It’s about building value into our service, and offering the best possible member experience across every device the end user has at his or her disposal.”

The product is available in the iTunes App Store and Google Play market.
