PERTH, Australia — They’re getting down, down under. This year’s Australian Sexpo convention opened this week with U.S. porn stars on hand and a number of sex-related attractions that wowed attendees including a life-sized “Penisaurus” roaming the crowd.

U.S. adult stars Alexis Texas and Lexi Belle along with Aussie star Angela White were also on hand to provide plenty of eye candy and T&A. The girls topped the show’s red carpet sneak peek riding in a sports car burn-out.

Billed as the world’s largest adult consumer show, the expo also features an amateur strip show, carnal carnival, an uncensored shadow theater, a fetish toy exhibition, lingerie parade, body painting, hypnotists, pole dancing and more.

One highlight was the "Pricasso" exhibition that had the artist chatting about his skills painting with his penis.

Signing autographs and glad-handing fans, Texas told WaToday.com that she likes conventions because she can meet with her fans and that they increase her brand awareness. "It's great to meet my fans about what they like, don't like and what they want to see. But I've never had anyone really negative because anyone who comes to Sexpo is part of this whole lifestyle.”

There was one disappointment at the show however.  Local soccer star and senate hopeful David Wirrpanda was a no-show at the event’s ribbon cutting ceremony citing prior commitments. The organizers agreed to make a $4,000 donation to the David Wirrpanda Foundation in exchange for his appearance.

“It has been a busy week for him; he’s been booked up too much. It was a prior commitment before he decided to come out this week. He was always going to be part of Sexpo; we don’t think it affects his campaign,” Wirrpanda’s partner Shannon McGuire said.

Sexpo general manager Tracey Browning said they would still donate to the charity. “He wasn’t able to come obviously because he’s running his political campaign at the same time; he called us and said how sorry he was that he couldn’t be here,” she said.
