Miramax Chair Leaves Post Following Alleged Shoot With Samantha Saint
SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Miramax and Colony Chairman Richard Nanula has purportedly taken leave from his post for “personal reasons.”
The gossip blogosphere has an alternate explanation: The decision comes two weeks after compromising photos supposedly depicting the exec and Wicked Pictures contract star Samantha Saint appeared on the blog, TheDirty.com, Deadline Hollywood reported.
Although TheDirty has since retracted the photos, the news has leaked to other sites, including the Hollywood Reporter and the Los Angeles Times, which refers to Samantha Saint only as an “adult film actress.”
The photos were originally posted on porn star Trinity St. Clair's website, despite Saint's exclusive contract with Wicked, Hollywood gossip sites reported
Nanula formerly served as a finance chief at Disney from 1986 to 1998 before transitioning to his position at Colony. He gained recognition for his hard-fought acquisition of Miramax from Disney in 2010 for $663 million.
The scandal closely tails Hearst’s Entertainment President Scott Sassa’s pressured resignation after a stripper publicized their sexy text and photo exchange.
A representative from Wicked Pictures was not available for comment at the time of post.
