Max Candy to Produce the 'World's First Copyright-Free Porn'

PRAGUE — European-based producer/director Max Candy announced today the advent of “The World’s First Copyright-Free Porn Film,” code-named “ZiP.”

Candy says fans will be able to participate in the film’s production, “mash it up, recut it and upload it to their heart’s content.” The description suggests a highly symbiotic production process between Candy and the film's future viewers.

The producers forfeit all intellectual property rights over the film; and once it is released, it will immediately be considered part of the public domain. As public property, the creators will not be able to collect royalties from the film's sales.

“This experiment in copyright-free film production may change the way films are made and promoted in the future,” a representative said.

Candy has helmed the successful projects “Inglorious Bitches,” “Sexual Adventures of Little Red” and “Ritual.” He has collaborated with the high-profile studios Marc Dorcel, Wicked Pictures and Private Media Group on European and Stateside productions.
