LAS VEGAS — Christina Aguchi became the first dancer to capture the Exotic Dancer Overall Entertainer of the Year honor twice on Wednesday night at the 16th annual Exotic Dancer Awards.

The Chinese-Vietnamese entertainer already was one of the most decorated touring dancers in the country before picking up the 2013 honor at the House of Blues nightclub inside Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino.

She also received the Overall Entertainer of the Year award from Exotic Dancer Publications in 2011.

“From this point on, life keeps moving,” Aguchi said. “I will continue to train, continue to work hard, continue to inspire and continue to learn. But most importantly, continue to build the legacy. Through trial and errors, this industry has taught me to grow, trust, love and even lose. But it has made me a stronger person.

“I just want to feel this moment. And [Wednesday night], I did. Thank you to everyone for your love and support after all these years. I will never let you down.”

Aguchi also performed her popular Michael Jackson-inspired, marionette feature dance show during the ceremony.

She emerged from a field of finalist nominees that included headlining entertainers Lacey Rain, Dakota Skye and Krystle Cummings.

Aguchi began building her reputation in the world of feature dancing during the Fall of 2008, when she won the Spearmint Rhino Entertainer of the Year competition in Torrance, Calif., and was awarded a one-year feature contract to tour the U.S. in '09. Since then, she has won several national titles for her high-energy performances, including a pair of Masters Grand Champion crowns at the Exotic Dancer National Championships in Atlanta.
