LAS VEGAS – The International Lingerie Show wrapped today, with attendees reveling over business deals and new products that the semiannual trade show reliably delivers.

Select distributors were displaying the Nu Sensuelle collection of high-powered rechargeable vibes. New to the U.S., a husband and wife team in Australia, where it’s been in business for three and a half years, launched Novel Creations.

“We designed four new products exclusively for the U.S. market,” Novel Creations founder Barry Brinberg said. “Now we’re at our first show and it’s humbling to see how much good press we’ve gotten. The line has gotten a really good response.”

Baci unveiled three new lines at ILS this week. First presented at its dinner event were the Corsets by Baci line of high-end corsets and cinctures in fabrics such as satin and leather that feature steel boning and self-lacing details. The corsets are set to begin shipping worldwide in late 2013.

The Fetish Collection by Baci marks the company’s entry into a new category with a line of BDSM-inspired looks “that blur the line between fetish and flirtation.” With themed styles in materials like shiny vinyl, faux leather and stretch lace, the Baci’s Fetish Collection will be joined by a collection of accessories.

Daniele Droghetti, the designer behind the Luna Veneziana for Baci range of handcrafted Italian masks, was on hand at a dedicated booth, to show off the masks’ unique features. Each mask, some of which include Swarovski crystals, can be gently bent for a custom fit.

Coquette showed off new additions to the Kissable line, as well as the new Spring/Summer line that includes colors like “melon” and “sea foam blue.”

“We’ve officially launched our Spring/Summer 2014 collection and are excited to bring it to the show,” Coquette’s Erin Sue said. “Customers were elated with all the bright colors and gave us an extremely positive response.”

To complement the sales of lingerie, It Works offers detoxifying products including a body wrap and energy drinks. Company rep Jaime said that the products had received a positive response from retailers.

“It’s good to sell alongside lingerie since some women have problem areas that can be addressed by our products.”

Adventure Industries debuted a new look for its WhipSmart line of swings and light fetish gear. The new packaging features freshly designed photos and a new logo. The company’s new Super Kratomite e-cigarette features Kava extract, which according to Adventure’s rep, was recently involved in a double-blind, placebo-controlled study showing that Kava relieves anxiety symptoms. “Combined with the pure Kratom extract from the proprietary blend in the original Kratomite, Kava makes Super Kratomite an incredible option to help relieve stress, pain and anxiety,” Adventure’s Adam Hasner said.

MD Science is expanding its reach with a new line designed to target high-end boutiques with a “department store look,” MD Science’s Ellen Friedman said. She said that the company would enforce Minimum Advertisement Pricing in order to retain the value of the Je’Taime line of lubes. Je’Taime features an all-natural formula with aloe vera, and is packaged in brilliant white bottles.

“We want it to be an even playing field,” she said about the new guidelines. In regards to the uniqueness of the new line, she added, “We wanted to be the first in the market with a line like this and I think we achieved that.” SLYD also exhibited its selection of lube with the tagline “don’t be a pain in the ass.”

Troy Lakey from SLYD said that the company launched in June and just “slid into the lube business.” SLYD lubes include water-based and silicone-based formulas marketed to couples of all sexual orientations and available in two sizes.

Classic Erotica debuted new additions to its signature brands, as well as entirely new collections. The company’s Crazy Girl line was extended with the launch of the After Dark range, which includes enhancing creams and new scents. Several of Classic Erotica’s latest additions were fragrances.

“We decided to up our game,” Classic Erotica’s Nicole McCree said. “We’ve just launched several new products and the Coochy loyalists were excited to hear about the new scents available in that line. We got an extremely positive response at this show and we’ll just see how good they do in the next six months.”
