Hungarian Star Cayenne Klein Discusses Porn Career

LOS ANGELES — Cayenne Klein says that porn performing is not as easy as it looks.

“People might think it's all just fun and games, but it's a serious business and actually hard work what we do,” Klein told XBIZ from her home in Budapest, Hungary. “Even still though, we have a lot of fun along the way and I wouldn't trade it for anything.”

The top professionals in any line of work often make their jobs appear effortless, and porn is no exception. It wasn’t always that way for Klein, who admits to feeling pre-scene jitters early in her career. Nowadays, executing acrobatic positions mid-scene are all part of her sexual repertoire.

“For years I was so stressed before the shoot like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t do this.’ Not because of the sex part, because of the cameras,” Klein confessed. “But it’s kind of gone now, so it’s good.”

If Klein was at all nervous during her signature 2013 movie “Cayenne Loves Rocco,” it didn’t show. The 27-year-old star delivered a career performance in three sizzling sexual encounters, two of which co-starred one of porn’s all-time great performers, Rocco Siffredi, who also directed the movie for his namesake production company.

The movie, which was released in September by Evil Angel, is nominated for European Non-Feature Release of the Year for the 2014 XBIZ Awards on Jan. 24 in Century City, Calif. And Klein, whose body of work this year also includes multiple movies for Video Marc Dorcel, Viv Thomas and Dane Jones, received nominations for Foreign Performer of the Year and Best Scene in a Vignette Release for her performance with Mike Angelo in “Pornochic 24: Ariel & Lola” (Dorcel).

But she said “Cayenne Loves Rocco” was “special.”

“It's the first movie that I play a major role in, so of course I love it the most,” said Klein, who in one scenario is dressed as a geisha and in another is wearing bunny ears. “And Rocco is not only my favorite actor but an excellent director as well. We created a great quality movie with an awesome story, beautiful makeup and wardrobe. I'm really proud of this movie.”

Siffredi told XBIZ it’s a rare occasion that he builds a movie around one performer.

“As you know when I find somebody special I always like to pull out of it a bit more,” Siffredi said. “And Cayenne she has her special personality, too.”

While Klein raised her profile considerably in the past year, she actually started performing in adult movies in 2004 when she was 18. Two years prior to that, Klein became intrigued by adult entertainment when she was dating a guy that worked as a production manager for veteran French director Pierre Woodman.

“I saw some backstage videos and saw everybody having fun,” Klein recalled. “I was just 16, so I had time to think about it.”

She did only soft, girl/girl scenes for her first couple years in the business, easing into more hardcore material. Then she took a four-year break from performing, doing only part-time makeup work and occasional nude photo shoots while she had a serious relationship.

“My relationship obviously didn’t work out and I always missed [performing],” Klein said. “I’m a little bit of an exhibitionist. I missed the fun of it and traveling and meeting people.”

So she gradually made her way back into the business and this year did arguably the best work of her career so far.

“I’m having the time of my life,” Klein said. “I love it because I always get to meet fun people and because I have a lot of free time. I work about five days a month making good money.”

Klein, who at one point worked at McDonalds as a teenager, loves to watch movies in her spare time, shop, travel and read. She cited Bali as a favorite holiday destination and said she is inspired by Tom Hanks and his movies, especially “Cast Away,” "The Terminal” and more recently, “Captain Phillips.”

“My hobby is watching normal movies. I’m a movie addict,” Klein admitted. “I watched all of the movies that came out in the cinema. I’m always waiting for the new ones. I watch them at home, too.”

She also draws inspiration from “happy music” and “people who are ambitious and who try to make the world a better place, locally or globally.”

When it comes to guys she might be romantically interested in, there are certain traits that catch her attention.

“The face and the hands are very important. And inside, he definitely has to have the love for animals and have a good heart and be serious,” Klein said.

The Hungarian star recently started doing cam shows on when she’s not shooting.

“It’s fun and it’s extra money,” Klein said. “I’m planning to work for a few more years and save up enough money to have my own business. I design jewelry. I would like to have my own brand. I’m planning on buying flats, too, so I can rent them out.”
