LOS ANGELES — Some of the biggest stars in the adult industry came together Thursday night for a good cause at the first ever “FSC After Dark: Capes & Panties” porn star fashion show and auction. (photo gallery)
The party, which was open to the public at the Supperclub in Hollywood, doubled as a fundraiser for the Free Speech Coalition, the leading non-profit trade association for the adult entertainment and pleasure products industry.
Wicked Pictures contract star jessica drake and 2013 XBIZ MILF Performer of the Year Tanya Tate hosted the event that showcased one-of-a-kind superhero costumes from Vivid Entertainment’s parodies as well as several popular Baci Lingerie styles.
Numerous authentic movie props, DVD packages and an array of high-end sex toys were available through a silent auction with items displayed on a row of tables at the club, while the fashion show was streamed live on Periscope by XBIZ.
After a warm introduction from FSC CEO Diane Duke, the consummate pro drake kicked off the evening’s festivities by MC’ing the Baci Lingerie fashion show. Several adult stars slipped into seductive Baci Lingerie sets and made the sexy walk for the live audience, including Mia Li, Ash Hollywood, Nina Elle, Cassidy Klein, Ana Foxxx, Sasha Heart, Edyn Blair, April Flores and Nikki Knightly.
While the girls pranced around the upper level of the Supperclub, drake, clad in a gorgeous, sequined cocktail dress, described each of the Baci pieces they were wearing.
“Hosting and being an MC is something I love so much!” drake told XBIZ. “With live events, you never really know what could happen, so you always have to be ready for whatever comes your way — and last night, everything (and everyone) that came my way was amazing!
“From the lingerie portion to the superhero section, hosted by the awesomely talented Tanya Tate, everything went off without a hitch, and we raised a lot of money for Free Speech! Thanks to everyone who came out and the FSC — Diane, Joanne [Cachapero] and Marci [Hirsch] — thanks for having me!”
Tate, who was dressed in the classic Catwoman suit, took the microphone for the second part of the show that featured porn’s sexiest superheroes. The parade of costumed performers included appearances by Aiden Starr (The Scarlet Witch), Keira Nicole (Arachne), Holly Heart (Ms. Marvel), Kaylani Lei (Enchantress), Ryan Conner (Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Mercedes Carrera (Rogue), Bridgette B. (Black Cat), Kimberly Kane (Wonder Woman) and Ryan Driller (Superman). A civilian participant took the stage as Spider-Man.
Superman even hoisted up Catwoman at the end in an impromptu moment. For Tate, a well-known cosplay queen herself, MC’ing the superhero walk was a natural.
“I was honored to be chosen by FSC and Vivid to host the superhero costume auction,” Tate told XBIZ. “I totally support the work of the FSC and welcome any opportunity to help them out. The night was incredible. The girls and guys looked so sexy in the outfits. As a cosplayer, I can appreciate sexy costumes and these were incredible.
“I had a lot of fun presenting each of the stars and watching them strut their stuff for the fans attending and watching on the live feed.
“My favorite part of the night was the photo-op lineup of every superhero after the fashion show walk. Some lucky winners will get to geek out when they receive their superhero goodies in the mail. It was all for a great cause; to help support the FSC.”
Nicole, who played to the crowd in her skintight Arachne costume, told XBIZ, “I loved it! Super sexy. I enjoyed myself.”
Duke later thanked all the participants and everyone who helped make the event possible such as FSC board member and Vivid executive, Marci Hirsch. The FSC CEO lauded the business sponsors and supporters of the event that also included Evil Angel, Adam & Eve, ATMLA, Nexxxt Level Modeling, Gamelink, Hotmovies, Girlfriends Films, Brazzers, Kink.com and XBIZ. Silent auction items were donated by numerous companies including Pipedream Products, ATK, Sportsheets, Doc Johnson, The Screaming O, LELO and X-Play.
Duke also gave thanks to the production staff that included adult star Alex Chance, who was roaming the club accepting bids from the crowd on an iPad; Gayle at registration; production manager Shylar Cobi who kept the event moving backstage; Stevie, who did all the styling for the models; FSC Membership Director Joanne Cachapero and Julie from FSC; and the DJ for the night, Gracie Glam, who kept the crowd lubed with a mix of electronic dance music.
